Once again just to clarify, 99.5% purity vanadium pentoxide is no miracle of science exclusive to TNG, thats what it basically is when extracted by traditional precesses, and what it needs to be to be of use.
It actually can be as high as 99.95%.
There is a bit of spin involved there, don't confuse spin with fact.
Google it if you don't believe me, and once again nothing personal, just sorting fact from fiction.
