For anyone that doesnt follow the electricity price closely, which I assume is quite a few unless you live in SA check out the rally in the forward prices for electricity. For reference the price used to be $30 -$40 not that long ago and is now >$100.

I expect these batteries to be of interest given the price signal. There is a large variance between the very low priced times and the very high priced times due to wind and solar which is what is required to make battery storage economical for those that are connected to the grid. If / once these batteries are proven then I feel that the orders will come in thick and fast so its great to see the first one up and running.
