    I think Tony's comments here are interesting:

    While direct leaching testwork is at a very early stage, there may also be an opportunity to heap leach lump ore, or an agglomerated crude concentrate, to extract V2O5 and Fe2O3 and then reprocess the remaining dump material in a manner that would extract the residual ilmenite to produce TiO2.

    Heap leaching methods have a far lower capital cost when compared to other methods and has become increasingly popular in recent times especially when working with lower in-situ grade deposits.

    Given the homogenous nature of our deposit combined with our flat lying orebody the impact of this testwork could have huge upside potential. I understand in-situ leach mining is a common extraction method used for uranium (approx. 50% of total production uses this method) and wonder if such methods could be used here.

    In any case its assuring to see management once again keeping their options open by pursing all viable alternatives.
