The problem is, gongbeater, people with $2.5 bn are usually pretty smart. As such, if they can buy the same thing for $1bn they most likely will. Of course, as others have mentioned, there will also be Ti and Fe credits to consider, but I'd say there are far cheaper places to buy Fe, so it's just a matter of whether the Ti credits are worth the extra $1.5bn. And in terms of 1000 year mine life...does anyone really know what humanity will be up to in 100 years? For example, electric power is only just over 100 years old in Australia.
