Yes, extending to 6 Feb doesn't make too much sense to me... its a pretty arbitrary date under the circumstances. Maybe its a head fake that tries to send a message of "we aren't going to increase our bid", in the hope that some shareholders capitulate.
But I don't think anything has changed which will bring that about.
So, it looks like we will still be the same stalemate situation that we were before the close of trade today, for several more weeks.
