Your posts on this particular subject regarding the location for EGR's first plant and the subject regarding feedstock provide the most constructive and rational food for thought. To surmise my thoughts and what you have posted thus far (in my words) is this:-
- EGR has options (regardless of where our feedstock will ultimately come from) as to where our first, second or third SPG plants will be constructed
- It has been stated by EGR that the Kwinana/Rockingham plant will serve as a prototype to be replicated elsewhere and expanded to 20,000 tpa
- The MOU with FYI for a proposed JV to produce CSPG certainly adds credence to our SPG plant will happen here in WA
- Feedstock is never likely to be an issue - whether there be a supply glut or supply squeeze (for the reasons you explained) and EGR may well source graphite from an Aust producer or even a WA producer (we will have options other than from Technografit)
- Technografit will end up having to source flake graphite concentrate from Scandanavia, Ukraine, Tanzania, Canada, Brazil, Madagascar, India or Australia
- Not all graphite is suitable for battery anodes - mainland EUR whilst abundant in graphite, not much of it is suited to BAM
- Eventually all forms of transport will be electrified including shipping - freight costs and the zero carbon emissions mandate is a moot point
- The fact is that currently there is a huge need for SPG producers and there aren't many outside of China (if any) that are producers at commercial scale yet
Anyway, regardless of what views are posted on HC, EGR are in a great position and its up to holders to keep their eye on the prize and not let the trolls and traders cloud their judgement. Don't feed the trolls or pander to the traders' agendas. EGR are ticking all the right boxes and they are in the box seat. Things are falling into place nicely and they are building invaluable relationships.
