I read the post referred to before it was "moderated". As pointed out it was opinion based on speaking to people - the thing that stuck in my memory was the comment made that the test results on the Sharrow prop were not meeting expectations. That design has been around a while and for a couple of years before Veem stared manufacturing them. I am only aware of "anecdotal" type tests (which were consistently positive as far as I saw) - so I was suspicious of that comment.

The Sharrow design as well as the traditional Veem props are very specialized - they are only viable for boats that are used frequently (pretty much commercial use only) or boats (props) kept out of water as they are not designed to have any coating or having any abrasive cleaning. Point being - their products are not going to take over the (nautical) world. It's the same with their gyro. So the company should be viewed as a specialist workshop rather than an industry disruptor.

I should point out I am a new poster (and only posted on VEE) because my original account became inoperable for some reason.
