I think you guys are closer to Australian data sources than me. But this Toolachee phi-k plot from OldGeo could be a good starting point.

From the plot we can guesstimate that with phi=8% we could (unfortunately) expect a permeability in the lower range: 0,1 mD (red line), perhaps with some good luck 1 mD and that means more tight gas reservoir than conventional gas reservoir.

As engineer I know that you cannot trust geology because of in-homogeneity. You never know but after I have seen this plot I would be (positively) surprised to see a perm of several hundred mD or even Darcy.

An other important parameter is the water saturation (Sw) for a cut off or as a limiting factor for production and hydraulic fracturing. We did not get any data, hints about this parameter.

With today's information I would expect a frac job to get commercial gas production. But even with several hundred mD I would like to see the biggest possible frac job ASAP to maximize cashflow (early money is good money).

About 25 years ago, I have seen only more or less vertical wells in this area, but I was only for a short period in Eromanga in the Royal Hotel and I do not know if horizontal wells are drilled and fractured in the meantime there to accelerate production?
