A bit of a weird geochem combo at Fire Dragon.
Regional sampling by the GSWA in the Nova area prior to discovery returned a Ni-Cu-Co anomaly, which makes sense given the deposit style. Follow-up soil sampling, RC and AC drilling defined impressive Ni-Cu-Co anomalies before EM surveying and core drilling, in which the deposit was discovered.
So cobalt makes sense, but silver and tungsten don't (more likely to be associated with orogenic Au deposits) and nor does barium (substitutes for K in the feldspar lattice, so often associated with VMS deposits as the alteration system breaks down feldspar in the footwall volcanic sequence). I wonder whether Mn was elevated? Often scavenges other elements to form complex oxides in the regolith profile.
Could be worth a punt, though, will definitely jump if results are good.
