the big boys who don't have 'rules' like us. I once sold a bit of stock to release some funds for another amount (small trade elsewhere) and CBA called me straight away insinuating manipulation lol... and I am a "tier 1" client, f*ck off.

these big boys are hooked up straight into asx servers and have no buy or sell limits (again have algorithms of course). EG if there is a big sale that is about to go through (IE one of you big holders sells, algo's/bots pick up on it probably before the sale is even done).

To answer your question, could either be:

- Big boys selling but not making it obvious so not to spook to market and keep selling around said price.
- or, accumulate without driving the price higher to keep loading up at said price.
- or, if you are holding already, you are allowed to sell smaller parcels <$500 (which is Commsec minimum limit) but if you look suss they will call you and query you.
