It is worth stressing that the FDA has allowed the use of Veyonda as a first line treatment. That is highly unusual for experimental drugs. Normally you are restricted to testing your drug on end-stage patients who have failed other therapies. The clinicians must have wanted this because of the very poor response rate to doxorubicin, and that is the best they have.
