Access is important and valuable and not always appreciated by company executives.
However, it must be remembered that the only discussion can really be about what is already out there. Anything else would be privileged and insider knowledge. So clarification only.
That is where I partly agree with you longskew. Clarification can be handled by the technical or marketing team, not the CEO.
It is a tough job to be accessible but to get on with the job.
