Now there is a long weekend upon. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT HOTCOPPER We have had time to assess this new format Unless HC provides are search by stock ( or its designation ) HC will become irrelevant. There is no continuity in the posting. On many occasions within the old forum there used to be long threads all connected with the topic at hand. Now there is lots of different bits that can be tedious to plow through. My log on to HC used to be Step 1 Search of the stocks that I am currently interested in. Nominating 7 days previous or shorter if I have already search through those postings. Step2 General read of other postings to see what interests me. ( Because there was continuity in posting I could see a lot of different view points for the topic or stock discussed) Because ther were longer threads I could get a picture formulated in my mind. Now you go on and see what disperate postings for the last hour. No continuity No longer threads. Very little debate or discusssion. Many people are leaving HotCopper or reducing there hits. It's no longer a must read. The forum should be Topic/Stock driven not personality driven. "Favourites" is missing the real value of this forum.
