    I think you are right to be worried about shorters.
    but you are way to late.
    as far as I can see the shorters started building positions when there was a drop $1.5bn in FUM in October 6 '21
    originally there was 2.12% of shares were short, then doubled to 4.7% on Dec 7.
    Just look at the price action and compare it to these shorter charts here
    After the Brett Cairns resignation and the HD divorce revelation the number of shorts decreased marginally from 4.7% to 4.2%.
    But then they increased from 4.2% to 4.49% to dec 20.
    what happened on dec 20?
    the st James Place mandate was pulled and the stock dropped 33%
    will the number of shorts have increased or decreased after this big drop?
    well, short notices are 4 days late. so I would say a lot of shorters would have sold and bought back in to realise profits. so I think the number of shorts will have declined, but could be wrong.
    And in regard to the Brett Cairns resignation, someone had to take the wrap for the lose of the SJP mandate. He was the CEO or the top dog at the time so he was asked fall on his sword, which he did....end of story.
