    It has always been and will always be all about the psychological effects of the pandemic, not the pandemic itself..
    The "pandemic" might last only another 12 months (who really knows?).. but the virus (in whatever future form) is with us for the rest of our lives..
    And so therefore are the psychological effects on the economy and therefore (what usually follows)... the markets....
    I'd argue the psychological effects will (on balance) be negative for at least a decade... even in the best case scenario (omicron is the last truly dangerous variant) and vaccine and ongoing boosters remain effective
    Best case scenario, a generation has been tarnished (and so have their spending and decision making habits) for a decade ....Just as they were during the great depression...
    This was a major jump in viral evolution (most likely sped up by gain of function research in the lab) so it will be generations for humans to get back to "a normal physiological" let alone psychological response to infectious disease again...
