Shorters and critics seem to have forgotten many real world truths:
Hamish has and always did have a right of reply to mudslinging posts like yours. And he delivered it today. Not an advertisement.
The CEO role was more administrative than many would like to accept. Hamish is and always will be the key guy.
Hamish hasn't sold one share. He is the real deal - conservative.
Hamish and his wife are allowed to divorce. Elon Musk has had a few of those and yet Tesla holders couldn't careless what happened in California, the Gold Coast, St Tropez - whatever...
No 100 million dollar, self affirming art galleries are about to be produced by his wife.
You can't have your cake and eat it to. Is Hamish or the CEO more important? CEO leaves and by the by the sounds of it - is utterly replaceable.
Magellan have better relationships than probably any other fund manager. With corporates, with clients, etc. They stick to what they say. They honour what they intend to do. Others are far more transactional. ETFs can't replace Hamish's expertise, networks etc - lone fact.
