I too am not a big fan of the guardian. but if you can extract yourself from the view that they are pushing an ideological position you can sometimes see a kernel of truth in what the writer is saying eg the effect of omicron on supply chains and whether or not we have temporary or pemanent inflation the cost of further lock downs the effect on entertainment venues, travel and restaurants the effect on the medical facilities, what if health care workers get sick? all good stuff and worth thinking about, particularly if you are of the view like Hamish that central banks have been pumping up assets for years and something is bound to burst that bubble down the track. we don't know what that might be, or when we just know it will happen. could it be covid, could it be a rise in interest rates, war with Iran etc ?
