you dont get it. this isnt free money. lets say senior banker has $2m of stock. if he leaves he loses his $2m so you offer him $2m MFG shares to convince him to leave. if he hadnt left his $2m is now worth about $2.6m. if he leaves and MFG stock tumbles is now worth $0.75m. the banker has evaporated $1.85m of his worth. he would have been richer had he not left. whos fault? thanks very much HD.
