Really not that confusing at all.
As of today (May 1st) you can pre-register to the Wangle VIP program at www.wan.gl.
As a bonus for being an early adopter you receive a 1 month no obligation free trial, 50% discount on a 1 year pre-paid subscription ($36/yr) and advanced free trial to access new features and packs. Looks like you also get a month free for referring a friend to.
This sort of stuff is done to generate interest and spread the word.
On June 1st, the app will be officially released, it is NOT released on May 1st. If you don't register before June 1st you miss out on the VIP offers.
