Think of it this way: why reward themselves with shares rather than cash? Because shares give them control, and with too much control they become answerable to no one.
As I said earlier, I'm still invested as I'm hoping management have at least the average amount of integrity. But an experienced broker would look at the weight of those performance shares and advise extreme caution.
