All the points you've listed are valid, but you should also consider trust in management. Every time the directors issue themselves (and their kids) tens of millions of shares the value of retail shareholdings, like yours and mine, shrink. And if insiders control >50% of shares they can siphon the company into their own pockets.
Others have suggested it's lack of promotion. You be the judge.
