they need to stop trying to go direct to customers. Customer takes one look at the company information online and would have concerns around service delivery ect. Maybe they have been asked by a prospect to ensure service delivery hence the cash.
Either way they just need to be honest with themselves, sell /partner up the tech to someone else and share in the revenue.
