Think you can split (saw) the drill core in half and then pan for any free gold after the core is ground up , a nitron tester (or at least the old ones ) will not detect gold , but will detect "path finder minerals " ie arsenic that are associated with gold .
My guess is visible gold would be associated with more than 15 grams a meter .
