Seismic Pump refers to the facility of large scale faults to pump fluids through the crust.
the idea and the moniker was created by Rick Sibson a famous structural geologist from NZ while working on the San Andreas fault and similar structures while at UCSB is the 1990’s
You can check out his research on why this is important for the formation of gold deposit in a raft of Peer Reviewed publications written by Sibson.
indeed you can look up my own research in the Journal of Structural Geology in reference to fault fracture networks and gold precipitation during the aftershock cycle of a major rupture at the Damang Gold Mine in Ghana
