Good point - vertical depth is only 120m at the moment though so would be even easier to get down to the depth again i.e. only 80m below the base of the hill. Very little doubt that this will be economical to mine.
Freight distance could make the cost/t a bit more expensive but that's only speculation due to Mali being landlocked, however the high grade and good strip ratio should far outweigh that... if the weight was an issue, why not JV with LIT.ax or a chinese producer to process Li carbonate onsite - massive value add to the project and huge reduction in freight costs.
Also potential correction: the 3 additional step out holes may just be referring to hole 29, 30 and 31.
