Not sure you're comparing apples with apples. Today's SMM announcement was for visual/ observed mineralisation, not drill assays. WCN put out the same sort of announcement 16/4. The 175m @ 2.5% was a drill assay
Issue today was short strikes, less 1%+ abundances than say WCN's visuals. No doubt visuals not as impressive.
As they say though, visual estimates are not a proxy for labs. Eg WCN's 10% abundance on hole 5 ended up being 19% Cu and 7.5% on hole 8 and 9% on hole 7. Goes to show the guess work in these releases
