Shanghai Pharma, which will hold 60 per cent, and Primavera Capital, with 40 per cent, made a $2.25 per share takeover proposal for Vitaco on August 4 and the Vitaco board and major shareholder Next Capital have agreed to accept.
An independent expert will be appointed to give a view as to whether the offer is fair and reasonable. The bid price is a 28 per cent premium over the last closing price of $1.76 before the bid was announced to the ASX. Vitaco shares on Friday gained 1¢ to $2.12 after jumping 20 per cent on Thursday.
