French President Emmanuel Macron promised more than 400 million euros ($474 million) in aid over four years to Niger during a visit and told the country’s president he was ready to strengthen France’s presence in the Sahel.

Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni said on Sunday he would propose to parliament transferring some of the country’s troops stationed in Iraq to Niger to fight people smuggling and terrorism.

These are really positive articles IMHO as this will not only boost security but help the Niger government to focus on developing their economy, particularly their resources industry.
Note - I got a small parcel on the buy side, hopefully get a steal during the holiday quiet trading period
