I think now I fully understand why Avalon's focus was to mine the Basal Zone to maily get HRE out of the ground in 2013. If we have a look at prices in 2013 we can clearly see that the price for HRE minerals was much higher than for LRE minerals. Maybe it was also the main reason why Avalon sold LRE above a depth of 150m above sea level to Cheetah Resources.

But today we can see the opposite picture. Nowadays LRE (light rare earths) is much more expensive than HRE (heavy rare earths).

I think one day Avalon will be very happy if VML take out of the ground also Basal Zone and Avalon will get 3% NSR for it.
