The ASX has trended downwards from about 11:00 am along with us today, so selling is likely down to the market jitters, preparing for the decision from three central banks regarding interest rates on Thursday.
As for the share price movement for the next month, I think the opposite will occur. In my experience whenever there is a set date for a catalyst long term holders have a tendency to top up their holdings (guilty) with the knowledge that they likely won't see these prices again. Traders will also buy in on hopes of selling the news. Shorts close out. Look what happened with the set date for the LKAB JV, we reached our ATH shortly before.
