There is deinitely competition evolving, but nothing really comes close to scratching CanView at the moment. There is some interesting work being touted by WNX using OnTracka that will be used to distribute via Chemist Warehouse. Check out their ann today.

To backup my statement about CanView... some data from the TGA on the three pathways:

    SAS-ASAS-BAPTotal
    12022436117,140970,0411,087,617
    22021568121,940161,522284,030

The data above refers to patients treated, however the numbers are not unique e.g. patients who received multiple treatments are counted multiple times. In other words the data is probably the closest we are going to get to knowing the number of treatments (units) of medicinal cannabis products provided/sold in Australia. There are issues with the data, the TGA themselves have claimed it's incomplete. However, it's the best available data that I know of. The industry estimates the active patient base to be ~100,000.

Now for 2022, there were 1,087,617 treatments provided/units sold. In the six months to Dec 2022, 450k units were sold via CanView. Doubling the CanView figure to account for a full year (900,000) and you would have ~82% of all units sold in Australia in 2022 being done over CanView. Pretty much a monopoly at the moment. In other words it's theirs to lose.

VIT's MD has a very impressive CV, reading it made me realise how little I've achieved with my life lol. Hopefully his business sense matches his intelligence and he doesn't stuff the patients (aka his bread and butter) around.
