I just wanted to point that that it probably isn't leaked posters - you can view the full page abstracts for the oral and poster presentations on the conference website (click on the link in the VLA ASX ann. Although there's a printing error in the paperwork and no O-53, one of ours, even though it's in the program. It's the last oral abstract so I thnk it was simply a print error.) Anyway, scientific abstracts are supposed to be a summary of the key details, meaning they contain the key results. Obviously one can get a better indication viewing all the data and there may be little extra parts of the story that don't feature in the abstract, but abstracts are intended to give the big picture. No need for leaked posters when you can read the results summary in the conference paperwork. It's in technical language, of course, but the data is there.
As for the crazy buying yesterday - I assume you are quite right that someone has seen the data and liked it
Nearly 4 mill shares traded is insane volume - particularly without much media attention! I actually wouldn't mind if VLA takes a little breather at some point this week to avoid being overbought before the weekend data, but we'll have to wait and see. Anyway, clearly something happened - it might have just been the preliminary info that CAVATAK may have utility in multiple cancer types. Should be an interesting weekend and teleconference!
