A settlement is in no way an admission of guilt...not only is this common in commercial litigation but in criminal , civil and family law...sometimes it makes sense to settle to avoid further disruptions to the bigger picture...if you felt you had legit claim to penny west would accept 850k...one could see the settlement as the directors getting the monkey of shareholders back..
