yes it would seem a case of sour grapes for VMC.

Looking at the deal SPX struck with Patina I could see how maybe VMC only wanted to pay cash and without exploration would be very little cash also.
SPX has struck a far better deal with Patina who wanted shares to stay in the game as they believed [rightly] that there was something really big and substantial at PW.
Patina gets shares, royaltys etc all being part of possible/projected Gold recovered and worth possibly hundreds of millions $ to them
[they are the biggest shareholder].

yes bad luck VMC. You made bad decisions regarding a deal and now have made things worse by being greedy!
