I agree, that was the point I was making. SPX defence may lie a lot on a witness statement i.e. The Vendors. If the Vendors state that Alex was in talks with them for 18 months then VMC case may be tainted, although no matter what SPX won't come out of this unscathed and I would not be surprised if Adams loses his position either way.
