82Punter and Readyaimfire are correct in defining what constitutes Insider Trading.
We really don't need people to start "adding imaginary charges" to the list and confusing matters more.
The claim by VMC of suing in the Supreme Courts has yet to be confirmed and yet everyone is in a panic, SP has dropped 30% and to date we have not had SPX confirm/announce that documents have even been served on them!
Until this happens it is all speculation based on the release of an Announcement made not by SPX but by VMC.
Its now Wednesday 16th and its 5 trading days after the "announcement" made by VMC with no confirmation from SPX that papers have been served.
And SPX must announce immediately if and when they are!
So..........….how many "false" ASX announcements are made daily?
Today several Announcements on the ASX had to be retracted due to various reasons including unsubstantiated claims, false information and the possibility of misleading the market.
Its the wild west, smoke and mirrors, scams, tricks and where anything goes.
