This isn’t a ‘play’ to manipulate share price. The allegations have huge ramifications for both Venus and DJ’s. Corporate brokers need to sign a ton of confidentiality papers to represent a company when raising cash and need to disclose conflicts of interest. DJ’s as a business will struggle to gain the trust of ASX companies now this has happened. And Venus have every right to go after SPX. Their board are serious professionals, who would not make a false claim in high court for share price gain. That’s blatant market manipulation, as bad as it gets and could eventuate in jail time. This is real, and this will take a long long time to resolve.
The share price will tank as the outcome is unknown, but once it’s resolved- either SPX or VMC will Spike hard.
Putting my shares in the bottom drawer and keeping an eye out for the resolution sometime next year.
