I'm surprised it was mentioned that the company attempted to second guess the share market and then plot their investor engagement course accordingly eg, by withdrawing proper participation in the listed investor process, not engaging on investor relations on the ASX. That strikes me as a highly unusual course of activity. I didn't actually consider it was deliberate but a poster here (in above thread) has said exactly that, as highlighted and quoted by @chand, compelling reading. The more eyes on this the better.
