TPM had a good day yesterday, they are probably just a bit over-enthusiastic, both companies will grow at the expense of Telstra. Which one grows faster wont define the endgame, in the long term the sector is going to be protected like the Banks are, or the Electricity Grid, the government will ensure we have good competition, and as the smaller of 4 big Telco's (dont forget Optus) we have the most to gain.
If you look at the NBN market share, TPG have over three our market share (350k vs 100k), but in the last quarter they only won 10% more new customers than us (30k vs 27k). Time will even the market share out.
They might have a point about mobile, i havent looked into what they have, or what advantages they get out of it.
