I agree. Mobile should never replace fixed line, its less reliable, less secure and will always be slower than fixed line in a multi-user environment.

Just think about it, if mobile was equal cost and technically as good as fixed line everybody would use it due to convenience, but then speed would drop because bandwidth is limited (its a shared medium), which would make it slower for people who actually need the convenience of being mobile, so they would pay a premium for it, and price the fixed point applications out of the market.

So cost for mobile will forever be more expensive than fixed line, it doesnt matter what advances there are in technology. Mobile should be used for mobile applications only, beyond that it will always be an expensive convenience.
