LOL, considering Vocus were a minor player in DSL the NBN is an opportunity, not a competitor (unlike TLS/TPM), and Vocus own their own undersea cables to the very place where traffic is likely to ramp. New management is getting on with realising the synergies of the various businesses and removing the issues with debt etc, the results today were a clear validation of that.
Unlike SLC and MNF there is no share dilution, or losses to worry about, and as for 5g, maybe one day wireless will realise the promises it makes, and basic physics suggest you need a high base station density to achieve density for throughput, that means a lot more fibre backhaul and transit, kerching!
