(*) I like Peter Lynch's comparison of investing in shares with baseball. A baseball game normally has nine innings. He says you don't want to invest in a company in the first inning. They are still working things out at that stage. Trying to become profitable perhaps. He says the ideal time to invest is generally in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Sales and profitability may be growing without issuing new shares. What inning is this company in?

Lynch has also claimed that investing in long shots have never worked for him.
