News BRN is set to begin volume manufacturing of its Akida processor is hugely welcome for those of us who have been following developments since AZK days, and indeed all long-termers. Thanks here to Peter, Anil and the engineering team, you’ve done us proud.

the market has responded appropriately by boosting the SP by 20%+ with further gains a dead cert. today’s announcement can only be SP supportive.

fair to say BRN wouldn’t be going down this volume production route without some pretty firm commitments from buyers, many or at least some of whom will have been doing DD under the EAP.

We know that these companies include some global household brand names but their exact identities may well remain a mystery given many operate with BRN under NDAs.

it would be great to know that Samsung, or VW or Tata are among those wanting a piece of the action, but this could remain secret forever.

for now, we’ll just have to comfort ourselves that operations including NASA, Renesas and Ford are involved with these names giving a clear indication of the calibre of outfits engaged. thanks here to Louis and the marketing team for having the real world wisdom when what they were promoting must have seemed pretty abstract at times.

we’ll be lucky to hear of major sales success to individual companies given many would prefer such matters remain commercial in confidence to protect their IP and future product sales.

the best we might hope for will be actual revenue growth numbers in quarterly reports to ASX. I’d like to see astounding gains in coming quarterlies as actual sales come through.

Today’s announcement suggests this will happen from the June quarter, but some decent revenue growth can’t be ruled out for the quarter ended March 31 since the volume production news didn’t happen overnight.

strong revenue growth could go a long way to obviating the need for any future capital raisings. But then who knows maybe later in the year a CR somewhere north of $1/share could be squeezed in to provide for all future contingencies and capital needs with minimal dilution.
