Hi Stirer, I wholeheartedly agree and what an expensive lesson that is just around the corner Imo…The real battery developers spend millions per annum on technology per annum…They can adapt new technology advances very quickly spending millions upon millions to do so…

Take for example the 1000mA/g technology…Car makers will spend millions jus to incorporate this technology into their new production lines…Where does this leave old battery tech that at best can only achieve a specific capacity of 260mA/g

Huge lesson to be learnt just around the corner Imo. Interestingly graphite will play a huge part in materials for the next generation batteries…Currently graphite is used in the anode the negative terminal on the battery while in the future Graphite will be turned into Graphene which will become the cathode…
The combination will be 95-100% silicon as the anode and Graphite/ Graphene as the cathode. To date it has always been the anode as the limiting factor while once silicon becomes the norm the cathode is the limiting factor…

If you don’t understand the significance of specific capacity one should start learning…Don’t be caught up in clever marketing…

    Regards Croc
