Correct me if I am wrong but if my memory serves me correctly I think that the case for linking up or merging with Milestone Sport had run its course by the time VIC decided to provide the loan. In other words there was no valid business reason or advantage for VIC to provide the loan. So it could hardly be construed to be in the interests of ordinary shareholders. It was an arrangement which raises many questions. If the loan wasn't in the interests of ordinary shareholders (and there is a strong case that it wasn't) then who was actually going to benefit. It certainly wasn't the ordinary shareholders. That was reinforced when VIC Directors decided to slash the loan and give away half the loan to MS. Who benefited from that? Was this just another cozy arrangement between mates? And again when terms for the final settlement were made it was very much slanted to the advantage of MS. It's a wonder they didn't just roll over and give away the lot. Might as well have.
