The share price is 3.8 cents for a reason-that reason is due to the lack of gold recovery.
The lack of gold recovery & the gravity plants configuration has been spoken about many times, i have been scathing of previous MGT for not installing a small ball mill as was recommended by contracted consulting experts within the first 2 months weeks of the original commissioning period, the reprocessing of the tailings has been a talked about endlessly, i started whole new threads on the subject on H.C & provided the links to actual recommendations made by International consulting experts SRK's recommendations .
And though & still think it confounding that those recommendations were not implemented & if it was due to the high potential within OGX's portfolio & ulterior motives that may have been the focus that these recommendations where NOT implemented.
This is one of the primary reasons i am still vested in OGX & also why i have been searching for exactly what was the primary original motive - It could indeed be something like the South West Anomaly at Sertao-hence due to its position along the mineralised trend that its had considerable monies spent on it yet it has not been drilled its worth a couple of holes or was it the potential within the other tenements-eg-Multi-element potential .
The hammer mill number three is imo the only aspect of the Gekko plant currently working remotely efficiently to enhance recovery through a finer grind, though huge improvements can be made imo with out large expenditure occurring read on for suggestions.
Unfortunately the current feed chute is very ordinary to say the least & unnecessarily labor intensive that is neither cost effective nor providing efficient through-put, something you would use strictly on a temporary basis until it is replaced-it is severely restricting through-put to hammer mill three & is not a good look to broadcast to the world on the net, as its a joke that it hasn't been rectified already do hope as its known that remedial actions are planned.
I would say almost everything running through the gravity plant is going strait through to tails as it still has very low recovery due to the restrictions with the VISI-Tertiary crushers restrictive grind ability -this then inhibits gold recovery-nothing overly substantial has changed.
Hence the low recovery & high loss to tails continuing .
The hammer mill will not be able to process enough per hour -a ball mill is what is IDEALY needed & then there would be no need to separate the ore as it will all be ground to desired spec increasing through-put & thus recovery, i do question how such high losses to tailings can be left unresolved for such an extended period with out obvious remedial actions being planned-quiet confounding actually-understand economic restrictions where at play & IT WAS A MESS TO TAKE OVER though remedial plans need to be implemented to rectify what is needed & restrict losses to tailings as current losses to tailings are unsustainable nor can it be justified that there are not remedial plans in place to rectify .
What is R.C.-doing about it ?
Suggestions to further increase through-put through the hammer mill rectify the feed chute though this only fixes one aspect, as their is limited square meterage in the sluice matting- & should only be supplied with about 12% solids by volume of water, these volumes are absolute minimums any less will cause gold losses you can increase water by 50%& its not serious -if losses are occurring with low water flow its simply because the sluice is not long enough nor has the required sq meterage size ratio to allow sufficient water flow to increase through-put.
EG ask Richard to consider putting 2 mt long slick plates in before the riffles sections start -this allows the heavies-Gold to drop/fall to the bottom of the water flow column before hitting the riffles that begin capturing the gold this will also allow increased water flow & in turn recovery, he needs at least 3 mts of riffles section length & if fine gold is still being returned to circuit( the gravity plant ) then they will then be lost to tails.
If this fine gold is on flowing off riffles then increase the riffles length until it becomes acceptable ( eg flower gold) when the next clean out occurs ensure their is very little fine gold in the end riffle sections.
To check this theory when they do the next clean out see if there is any gold in the very end section of the riffle matting. always being constructive not insulting, please take comments the right way.
Here is an effective formula guide -For every one tonne per hour feed of say (12 % solids as feed) requires about 7,000 lts per hr of water flow or- 116 lts per minute water flow- So 10 t per hr feed rate require approx.
70,000 lts per hr or 1,116 lts per minute for effective gold capture, as said remedial actions that are cost effective can be made, to little water if the worst scenario you can have 50% more water than this & if sluice size is proportionate correctly it generally won't hamper recovery -so determine flow rate is adequate first & check the last section riffles for gold & think about mods especially adding 2 mt long slick plates pre- riffles commencement so heavies can be in the lower slurry column when it hits the riffles & gold capture begins.
Response from J.G.-Thanks Yes the priority for Cascavel is a ball mill, floatation and improved sluice box at back end.
G'Day Jeremy-I know you are busy -Though i feel sure the hammer mill 3 would be grinding H.G. down to very fine material & imo the sluice is not set up as well as it could to catch fine gold-see my previous points .
1)Suggest considering adding 2 mt long slick plates pre- riffles commencement so heavies/Gold can be in the lower slurry column when it hits the matting & riffles & gold capture begins-add length to existing sluice it is way to short, & increase water flow, a small amount of detergent can be added to water if it is recirculated as it will break the surface tension & allow flour gold to sink-yes this gold can sit way up in the water column & be lost to tailings - the finer the grind to liberate the gold the longer the sluice will have to be, there is not enough water flow to allow the gold to settle out of its feed slurry & the sluice is not long enough-hence R.C can not increase water flow for fear of washing it out the back end of the sluice.
Explanation of slick plates -Add 2mts of the same as existing sluice material after the mill outlet & before the the position the matting starts -thus the term slick plates just bare bottom this allows time for the gold to swirl in the turbulence & fall out of the slurry ( out of suspension ) into the lower water column before it hits the matting & gold capture begins .
While the Gold is held in the slurry it will just be washed out the back end. -You need heaps of water sprays at the beginning of the slick plates-R.C should understand, it really wont cost much as it can be fabricated on site out of ally plate.

Couple of additional points for consideration, i do think adding slick plates pre carpet by a couple of mts & also lengthening sluice & increasing water supply incorporating pre wash pressure spray bars ( washing gold particles off will help the gold particle behave the way it should & sink lower in the water column aiding recovery) & possibly consider reducing the sluice angle a couple of degrees after increasing water flow ( post the initial recovery trial ) should help fine gold recovery .
G'day Jeremy & R.C.-Are you using hardened hammers in mill ? as during operation gold particles will be flattened during their liberation from the host rock it was attached- during flattening the gold particles surface area can increase this contributes to flotation of gold particles & increased loss to tailings & the surface will have become work hardened its flattened surface can also become contaminated with abraded iron media from the worn hammers media- this can then change the gold particles floatability behaviour & contribute to reduced recovery while sluicing -their is a fine line between liberating the gold from the host rock & over grinding causing recovery issues due to above mentioned & the way the sluice is set up waterflow etc . I would suggest mh 3 possibly has a different grind to mills one & two is their a spec sheet to compare grinds between mills ?-if i could make a suggestion -take the same feed material & equal sample's & mill with hm 1 & or two & compare the recovery with hm-3 if their is a large discrepancy in percentage of gold recovered ( their should not be ) then it could either be the difference in grind between the mills & or the sluice variables either way its a process of elimination . Is the RPM's the same between mills -is it possible mh -3 particular characteristics- RPM's, Hammer configuration is different too HM one & two resulting two fine a grind & hampering recovery .

G'Day Jeremy-Ensure Mill Feed & Tailings samples are taken every shift fire assayed & relayed to your self ASAP after results are known standard operational procedure is SOP -for a reason, by subtracting tailings from Mill Feed you also have an indication of pending gold pour-recovery when tonnes through-put is calculated -obviously one knows immediately if gold going to tailings suddenly increases, this then becomes the priority until sorted .

As if he doesn't fully comprehend the Gekko Systems built gravity plant or the sluice set up- then i presume his background must be more mining than processing, what are we intending to do about it ?, starting to get a bit toey regarding this situation.

G'Day Jeremy -Moving forward post this crisis stage- Possibly consider contracting an experienced Gold processing treatment specialist as manager/superintendent .
His experience project management skills should ideally be inclusive of some or all of below
Gravity concentration of free milling gold .
Agitated tank plus heap leaching .
Intense cyanidation of gravity gold concentrates .
CIP, CIL and RIP circuit design and modelling AARL and Zadra elution circuit design Electrowinning and gold room plant design .
Cyanide recovery/destruction circuit design .
Refractory gold ore treatment .
Sound engineering experience - able to lead engineering professionals. whom could alleviate some work load from Richard allowing R.C. -to concentrate on Mining activities & development.
For Richard to be overseeing both is a huge work load certainly not ideal understand liquidity constraints dictate what is practical-R.C. -could still be COO of all overall operational activities but have some workload alleviated allowing him more time to focus on mining activities -just thinking out loud.

Jeremy Its clearly NOT new news-Current operational Tailing samples are NOT being taken by R.C.-For a reason- as i have previously stated its standard operating procedure to do so especially given we have our own lab on site, so tailing results are NOT being taken because its clearly known Gold is & always has been going to tailings, which is why you said to me R.C.-won't put high grade through the Gekko Gravity plant-obviously as he knows its going strait to tailings- if he does, why continue to run the plant knowing your not even close to meeting AISC, why has it Taken so long to call in a Gecko Systems technical processing specialist to review & adjust to Gravity Plant in addition to the gravity plants piss poor recovery, Both the sluices - back end to tailings & recovery sluice from HM-3 are not set up to be more operationally efficient, the resulting effect is cash burn rate is unjustifiable with gold sale revenue generation grossly restricted whilst this debacle continues, clearly this is negligent & irresponsible especially given its been for such a prolonged period as its resulting in massive dilution to the registry & current share holders.
Further why has a CIL lic never been applied for for Cascavel ? Why have we not received results for the bulk samples taken many months ago at Eliseo clearly this is in breach of both the ASX & the corporations act regarding disclosure rules, it seems any good news has been stiffed , what is the objective here ? -What is the actual plan moving forward & are we going to install floatation in the backend of circuit to catch more fine gold . This plant needs to run 24 hours per day increasing gold recovery & revenue this running 24/7 also restricts access to gravity traps & sluiced gold by by potential gold thieves -its about time we became professional in our approach to Gold Processing.
Response-you will need to wait for release to have clearer picture this week. All will become clear.

Ok Jeremy-I fully intend to await details-you need not be concerned -not my style, keeping good strait level honest conversation with you & myself by saying it as it is, as you can get the standards BS responses any where that won't really be helpful.
G'Day Jeremy -Presume that plants through-put has been increased by opening up the crushing circuits screen size allowing for increased crushing rates & hence plant through -put, this will result in larger material reporting to the IPJ’ circuit, occasionally stray rocks can enter the circuit and lead to immediate blockages resulting in significant production down-time.Installation of a 15-20mm scalping screen on top of the 2mm banana screen can eliminate this as a significant potential issue- ultimately utilising 15mm aperture screens ensuring that all feed has equal opportunity to report to concentrate and to minimise the hang up of coarse 20mm & larger size in the IPJ beds -was ragging adjustment introduced in the IPJ by SRK in 2016 just 7 SG steel rated or did they combo with Ceramic 5.5 SG RAGGING imagine the ragging was being displaced out of the inner rings of the IPG bed allowing feed to contaminate concentrates & enhanced losses to tailings- thus the decision to re-introduce layered lead shot balls as ragging on top of screen with the actual aperture size between ball edges- pass by- being reduced forms a screen pre-filter this should result in less binding of the screens in the IPJ as the lead shot forms a protective layer between the ball edges -was a separation layer added on top of the lead shot ragging? i would think NOT as this would allow coarser material to flow to tailings.
Will be very beneficial to make adjustments to existing back end sluice to enhance recovery see previous recommendations & consider if the addition of a floatation circuit so as to further increasing recovery of very fine gold is justified.

G'Day Jeremy-It takes no time what so ever to establish what the Cascavel Gold processing facility actual Gold recovery is post plant tune up- as you will be taking mill feed & Tailings samples , conducting Gold Pours & clearly cross referencing tonnage through-put & establishing recovery percentage in g p/t given its a high priority & is a priority being standard operating procedure in all Gold Mines & processing facilities , hope you are intending to make a swift conformation asx -Ann to confirm adjustments where successful-will expect you will be keen to update the market ASAP & release something confirming recovery within the week, will listen out for the market also being updated regarding overdue awaited exploration results.
G'Day Jeremy -So head grade tailings was 6.6 g p/t & CiL RECOVERY WAS 93.11 % = 6.143% ( 22.11t batch) So ( 24 t batch ) tailings-through Cascavel if head grade was the same = 32% recovery .
Non CIL 3d party gravity only section recovery of Menstre level 6 ore obtained recovery of 68.34% as bench mark, gravity only with fully optimised plant & specialist operators giving specialist attention.
So using a tailings head grade average of 6.6 g p/t x 60 % recovery=3.96 g p/t x 3,000t per month = 11,880grams-382 oz (dore) At 55 % Recovery = 3.66g p/t x 3,000t = 11057g-353 OZ per Month . At 50% Recovery = 3.33g p/t x 3,000t = 9,990 grams -321 OZ -( Dore)
How much plant processing time per month do you intend to allocate to processing tailings ? 3,000 t at 20t per hour =150 hrs of continuous run time at 14 hrs per day = 10.7 day's over half of 20 day's per month run time allocation Numbers don't add up ? plant tonnage through put is too low at this recovery rate -tonnage through-put has to at least double or average recovered grade has to double . What are your thoughts & considerations -don't want to sit idle & get further shafted here .

G'Day Jeremy -Just mentioning What of Sertao Exploration Results ? The South West Anomaly ? Tinterio Sampling Results ?, l Elisio ?-lots being held back for reasons known ! what of Cascavels Upgrade ?-Has a mill been located -Floatation ?-implementation ?-Tailings reprocessing assessments, be it third party or our mill post upgrades -Delay's Because ?
Seriously Richard should be able to meet liabilities per month at least -the only difference between the small mills & HM-3 is the sluice configuration-m3 per tonne of catchment ratio -length & water flow.
So its incompetent if you can get one mill & sluice configuration working & not another with the same high grade ore as feed supply -So its either intentional or he is out of his depth -Why not run a big sluice off HM-3 by running it & not feeding the gekko -just pull the high grade gold & stockpile the waste to re run latter when the gekko is reconfigured .
