It will be desperate, in my view, because the last was a real stretch. I feel they have tapped out the retail and small SI market. They have switched to the big money people (both of whom get big rewards for signing up $50m in sponsorship). All signs point to them looking for a big deal and big support. If they can't pull that in and have to resort to a last minute SPP with only about 25 days of cash left in the bank then I call that desperate.
And I don't reckon it will go well. It took an extension and hard calling to get the SPP to respond last time and they still had a top up from the SI community. I don't think that they'll get as close to that now in less time. Desperate if it's an SPP.
