For those who are unfamiliar with Trading Halts (TH) and Official Suspension from Quotation (OSQ), I hope this might be helpful:
Under ASX Listing Rules - Guidance Note 16, there are a few areas to note:
- A trading halt can only be granted for a maximum of 2 trading days, and ASX doesn't permit consecutive trading halts.
- During OSQ, investors won't be able to place or amend orders, or trade shares.
- [OSQ] "This treatment reflects a longer-term nature of a suspension compares to a Trading Halt".
These measures are taken to ensure that the company complies with all disclosure obligations, and can be seen as an extension of a trading halt. SDA continues to be a company, and the shares retain their value from the previous close. Trading will recommence on 10/02/20. What we know for sure is that this is a prolonged duration. Anything beyond that is assumptions, speculation and informed guesses.
