a) Icon’s first application for the renewal of ATP 855 on the 4th of October 2022
was rejected and Icon was advised to provide further information by submitting
a new application by the 31st of October 2022.
This second application was completed but payment was not accepted. The
Department’s position is that the permit has expired and that it can not be
renewed.
How bureaucratic is that, typical Queensland public servant bureaucracy!!!!
(a) why was the first application rejected.
(b) was the second application acceptable, but, maybe, wasn't received by 12 midnight on 31 October, although Icon was obviously given time to answer the deprtments request for "further information".
This is NOT unusual for Queensland's public "service"!!!
Now, shoud all of us now become cynics?
There are billions of dollars of perfectly good gas under ATP855 and the actual Queensland govenment would be very supportive of that gas being developed, and/or a brand new blue hydrogen hub being created!!
Could skullduggery be at play, that too, is not unusual!!!
Does the left hand (the bureaucracy, know what the right hand, the govenment, know what's goin on?? VERY typical.
Either common sense will prevail with that legal representation, failing which, it becoimes a nasty legal stouch.
