I don't disagree with you at all but the Chinese haven't got their tentacles spread throughout the world by playing fair. And yes, Zijin might have zero stake in Manono, but they certainly manage a fair chunk of other mines in the DRC all backed (and regulated) by the CCP which represents 70% of all the 19 mines operating in the DRC. While Zijin knows that they can't win any dispute regarding ownership at the ICC, they have employed stalling tactics in the hope that in the intervening period, FT has been ousted and replaced by a CCP lacky.
